A Social Hub Where Everyone Belongs

Co-founders Amanda Lewis and Stephanie Kinney created Mercantile 1888 to offer South Jersey a vibrant social space that does not revolve around alcohol. Located in a historic early 1900s bank building on Haddon Avenue, our space combines architectural charm, thoughtful non-alcoholic craft spirits, and warm hospitality.

Book Swap
Join us for a book swap and meet other readers in the area! Each ticket includes a drink. Bring up to 6 books to swap! All genres are welcome, but the event will mostly be adult readers. We ask that books are in decent condition (no excessive damage, markings, etc.) and are books you're excited for others to read, not just books you're looking to get rid of. We will recirculate any leftover books at future book swaps or donate them to the Friends of the Library to support our local libraries.
